If you're searching for a little luck before the next Crimson game, stop by the Statue of Three Lies to rub John Harvard's foot - one of the shiniest surfaces on all of Harvard's campus. The statue itself sports some misinformation: the statue is not, in fact, of John Harvard at all, but a random student; the school was founded in 1636 rather than 1638; John Harvard was not a founder of the University, but simply a wealthy benefactor who's name was slapped on the school. Next time you're walking around the oldest school in the country, stay warm in a Harvard crewneck sweatshirt from Tailgate.
